MODULE OVERVIEW

This short lesson introduces the Edify Foundation project, “From Classroom to Career: An Accessible Online Toolkit to Empower Newcomer Students for Life After High School”, and how it is designed to support your transition from high school to post secondary education. You will learn about the purpose of the project, who it is created by, and how the different curriculums/toolkits can benefit you.

In this module, we provide an overview of the three core areas covered in this project: 1) Career Exploration & Planning, 2) Post-Secondary Pathways & Programs, and 3) Post Secondary Program Applications, Student loans & Scholarships. You will also learn how to use the videos, toolkits, and online resources that accompany each section.

This project is student led and developed in collaboration with educators and community partners. The material is based on publicly available information, research, and the lived experiences of students and early career professionals. While we aim to provide accurate and helpful guidance, the content is not intended to replace professional, academic, or financial advising. Rather, it is designed to share perspectives, highlight options, and support informed exploration.

By the end of this lesson, you will have a clear understanding of what to expect from the Edify material and how to navigate it to support your future education and career goals.
